Hi it’s Jim Hanzo, and I am thrilled to be living my dream doing mornings on 1061 .. New Orleans True Oldies Channel. I have been very fortunate to do “radio” in the city where I was born. I invite you to join me weekday mornings. One thing we try to do is have fun, and take you back for a while with “the Greatest Hits Of All Time”.
A little about me, I married a beautiful girl, Michelle, from Kenner, and we have 2 girls ages 9 and 13. So you can bet, there’s lots of drama in my house. I also have a wonderful 24 year old daughter who lives in South Carolina and misses New Orleans terribly.
I love the blues and could talk your arm off about the Mississippi Delta Blues, and Robert Johnson, you get the picture. I love the Beatles, Eric Clapton, and Motown, and there’s something about those Stax records that turns me on.
I play a little guitar, and love the old cars; mustangs, corvettes, etc.
and I love to jog.
